capturing life : reflecting art

I think I was about 8 years old when my grandma gave me her vintage Brownie camera. I was often found snapping pictures from then on -- during family vacations, at birthday celebrations, of my sisters making silly faces... But when our first child was born 11 years ago, I started realizing the passion I truly had to create a beautiful photo. Photography has grown from something I love to do into something that has become part of who I am. I'm passionate about capturing personalities, love, and the story of people's lives and reflecting it as art. Art that continues to tell the story, no matter what else has happened around us. Life is always changing… kids grow, we lose people we love, we add new people to our families and lives. I cherish being able to remember each part of the story along the way, and I adore helping others remember each part, too, for a lifetime.

I am a stay-at-home mom of 2 ornery, handome boys, and 1 fun-loving, creative daughter. These 3, along with my husband and I, currently live in Downers Grove, IL.
